Sogno was born from the wishes of Krista Camputaro, who loved to daydream about owning her own boutique.
Upon completing her Bachelor of Arts degrees from Fordham University in Italian and International Business,
Krista experienced the retail, marketing, and advertising industries full throttle in
New York City at various corporations like Bloomingdales, Gannett Suburban
Newspapers, and Conair Corporation in Stamford.
Ready to make her dream come true, Krista returned to her home city of New Haven to
work along side her family to open Sogno, Boutique of Dreams on October 17, 2003.
Growing into much more than a storefront in the Award Winning Audubon Arts District, Sogno has become a true shopping sanctuary.
The inviting window displays encourage all passing by to enter the Boutique of Dreams and have all of their senses awakened.
Krista has carefully selected her 140 vendors representing fashion accessories, specialty apparel, women's, men's, children's,
home and office furnishings, serenity and pampering, art and antique furniture to satisfy even the most distinguished of customers, better know as friends of Sogno.
'There is something for everyone as Sogno offers a little bit of a lot', Krista describes.
The eclectic mix of merchandise as well as pricepoints, combined with the comforting and welcoming environment, equals a therapeutic yet passionate destination.
Along with the variety of offerings at Sogno, 2006 has become the true Year of the Dog, where Krista has branched out into more Sogno Special Services.
Private Parties, 10% Refer a Friend Program, 20% Happy Birthday Discounts, Bridal and Baby Registry, and a newly updated website are just to name a few.
Krista has also broadened her position of Owner, to incorporate community involvement and growth.
Krista established the Audubon Arts and Retail Association and as President, she works intently at partnering with her neighbors to
introduce many promotions and events such as Audubon Arts on the Edge Festival held every June.
As an active member of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce Krista also networks with other city wide merchants brainstorming for a better New Haven.
Her devotion to building a strong city as well as a solid business, has defined Ms Krista Camputaro as a notable citizen, friend, colleague, and entrepreneur.
